The game time of World of Warcraft has been modified

  • If you are used to buying 30 days of World of Warcraft game time, then this is bad news for you. Blizzard has removed the 30-day, 90-day, and 180-day prepaid options to purchase game time. Currently, you can only purchase 60 days of game time. However, this may also be good news, because Blizzard has not cancelled all the game time, you can still buy regular monthly subscriptions.

WoWhead suspects that Blizzard’s changes to purchase game time may be to avoid World of Warcraft robots. These bots can use WoW Token to pay for a 30-day pass, and they can use the Battle.net account balance to pay for game time, but Blizzard does not accept this payment method for regular subscriptions. Some players who occasionally jump into the WOW Classic Gold game speculate that this may be an increase in revenue by Activision-Blizzard, and they are very annoyed that they cannot purchase a 30-day pass.

In fact, these players can purchase regular monthly World of Warcraft subscriptions at a cheaper price than a 30-day game time pass, and can cancel the subscription from their credit or debit card before Blizzard charges them for the next month. However, it is worth noting that if you only plan to play the game for one month and you forget to cancel your subscription before the second payment, then you may be forced to continue playing the game until you cancel your subscription.

Blizzard stated through an official e-mail announcement that they recently reviewed the available services in all currencies, and in response, they decided to modify the game time options available in the Blizzard store. Currently there are only 60 days of game time available for purchase in the store, and the original 30-day, 90-day and 180-day game time options have been deleted by them. Moreover, Blizzard pointed out that if the player has purchased game time in the past, it will remain valid after this modification, because the Classic WOW Gold subscription price and WoW Token price have not changed.
