Sony has plans to be ambitious for FIFA 23 Coins the next generation of hardware for virtual reality It plans for 2 million devices of the PSVR 2 headset ready by the end of March in 2019.
The mass production of the VR headset began on September 1st (via Bloomberg) and has not yet faced any supply chain constraints. With the PS5 remains very popular due to its lack of availability when it first launched in November of 2020, Sony is also planning to have additional console inventory on the shelves at the beginning of 2023, based on Bloomberg's sources.
PSVR 2 has yet to receive a date beyond 2023, however Sony has been working hard to ensure that they have enough PS5 consoles available to play games with the brand new headset. The device will only function with PS5 and will not be backwards compatible with PSVR games.
What we do know about the hardware is that they have amazing specs. Like that of the PS5 in addition to its DualSense controller, Sony added haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, eye-tracking and inside-out tracking along with 3D-sound into this kit, which hasn't yet received an official retail price.
"PSVR 2 seems poised to be a shot in the arm for the gaming market," Tamoor Hussain wrote in GameSpot's PSVR 2 preview. "It remains to be seen whether PSVR 2 will be able to draw widespread excitement, but at most basic level, I'm convinced that it'll be one step closer to realizing its full potential."
